Straightforward advice on your status
Specialist Legal Advice from an Immigration Barrister
Everyone has the right to know whether they are, or are entitled to become a British Citizen.
If you aren't sure about your rights, contact the Nationality Advice Service to see if we can help.
The Nationality Advice Service is led by Emma Harris, an Immigration Barrister based at 10 Kings Bench Walk.
As the Home Office stopped operating its Nationality Checking Service in 2018, it is hoped that this service can assist those people who still need help navigating this complicated area of law.
As a Barrister, Emma Harris is a highly qualified immigration specialist who is particularly adept at providing straightforward and practical legal advice. She is Public Access qualified and therefore able to provide legal advice, either through a solicitor or directly to clients.
What We Can Help With
Many people with complicated family histories and backgrounds are unsure of their current nationality, status or citizenship in the UK or how that might impact their children.
Whether you are a British Citizen, British Overseas Citizen (BOC), British National (Overseas) (BN(O)), or believe you are Stateless, we may be able to help you and your family.
If you would like us to check your Nationality or Citizenship or that of your children, please get in touch.
Citizenship Application Service
Applications for British Citizenship and for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) can be costly. At the time of writing it costs £1,330 to apply on the basis of long residence.
We are happy to look over applications and check documents that you've prepared for yourself or to go through the process from scratch to give you peace of mind that you're giving yourself the best chance of succeeding first time.
Assessing Eligibility For Citizenship or ILR
We understand that the Immigration Rules and Citizenship law can sometimes be difficult to navigate on your own.
If you are unsure about which application is the right one for you, we are happy to discuss the various options you might have and to help you make the right choice of application for you, whether you go on to complete the application yourself or use our Citizenship Application Service.
We are happy to provide advice on anything related to settlement and citizenship. If you're not sure whether we can help, get in touch and we'll soon point you in the right direction.
We want this process to be as open and transparent as possible so here is a guide to what you can expect
